KUJE, ABUJA — As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to the host community as well as ensuring effective traffic management, the Neo Black Movement (NBM) of Africa, Kuje Sub-Zone, has donated modern traffic control stand to the authorities of the Kuje Divisional Police Headquarters Nigerian.
Speaking on behalf of the Movement during the ceremony, Mr. Jamil Maina Isiaka, President, Gwagwalada Zone of NBM Of Africa, said that the humanitarian gesture of his Organization was borne out of the need to support the Nigerian Police Force towards effective, efficient traffic control and road safety management.
Mr. Isiaka whose position was corroborated by the Kuje Zonal Coordinator, Mr. Mohammed Jubrin Gani, explained that the project is one of the several peoples- oriented projects embark upon by the NBM across the world, stating that providing officers with the right facilities is crucial for efficiency and safety.
“The newly installed stand, located at a strategic point within the Kuje tipper garage is aimed at offering traffic police officers a roof over their heads while managing traffic.
“For years, officers have had to manage vehicular movement under challenging weather conditions without proper cover”, he said.
Responding, the Kuje Divisional Police Officer, (DPO), represented by his DCO1, expressed appreciation to the movement over the timely execution of the project, noting that the stand would ease officers’ tasks and strengthen the relationship between the police and residents.
Community members also praised the initiative, expressing hope that improved traffic control would reduce road congestion and accidents in Kuje.
