NBM Grants Scholarships to Six Pupils in Ondo
The pupils of Saint Stephen Primary School in Akure, Ondo State Capital, have heaved a sigh of relief as the famous Pan-African Organization, NBM of Africa, Ondo State Chapter awarded a year scholarship to six pupils of the school.
The beneficiaries are ADEBAYO Ayomiposi (Primary 1), JIMOH Rafatu (primary 2), ADAMU Misturah (primary 3), ADEBAYO Demilade (Primary 4), IREDIA Nife (Primary 5), ADEMURE Seun (Primary 6)
According to the President of the State Chapter of NBM, Mr. Olawole, the humanitarian gesture of the Pan-African group is aimed at relieving the burden of school fees from parents, especially in this period of the excruciating economic situation in Nigeria.
He said: “We decide to give out scholarships to these pupils as our palliatives to relieve their parents from the burden of paying school fees in the next one year, most especially during this period of economic hardship.
“NBM of Africa, Ondo Chapter, is a non-governmental Organization, saddled with the responsibility of helping humanity amongst others”, he said
While advising the pupils to be serious with their studies as it is one of the gateways to success, Mr. Olawole, however, commended the teachers and management of the school for their efforts in preparing the pupils for the future.
The President also charged other Organizations to emulate NBM in the area of humanitarian gestures to the people.
In their separate reactions, the beneficiaries, expressed appreciation to NBM of Africa for coming to their aids, just as they maintained that the humanitarian gestures of the Pan-African Organization would go a long in helping them in their educational pursuits.
